On November 27, 2018, Josh Lambert, academic director of the Yiddish Book Center, delivered the Princeton University Fall 2018 Lapidus Family Fund Lecture in American Jewish Studies. The lecture was titled “Rebooting Jewish Television: Transparent, Streaming Media, and Foundation-Backed Culture.” It was held in McCormick Hall, Room 101, and cosponsored by the Program in Judaic Studies.
Lambert examined how foundation-backed talent incubation and the advent of viable streaming services such as Amazon and Netflix have influenced serial drama in the past decade.
