Effron Center Undergraduate Senior Thesis Research Funding

This funding opportunity is intended for research in the fields of American studies, Asian American studies, and/or Latino studies. A strong preference is given to projects that are interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary in nature. A recommendation from your academic advisor is required. Research funding is awarded up to a maximum amount of $2000/yr.

Applicants are advised not to make any research-related purchases until notification that their applications have been approved.

Where travel is involved, all applicants must adhere to the guidelines set by the University.

Post Project Requirements

Expense Report: Please substantiate all of expenses by uploading receipts in SAFE.  Unspent funds are to be returned to the Effron Center for the Study of America.

Research Summary: Please upload a summary (not to exceed 1000 words) of your research in SAFE.

Effron Center Student Group Activities Funding

The Effron Center for the Study of America provides small grants, up to a maximum of $500/semester, for student groups engaged in organizing scholarly events, such as on campus lectures or panels.  The events must focus upon American society and/or cultures and have an educational intent. A strong preference is given to events that are interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary in nature. Applications are considered on a monthly basis during the academic year. Applications must be submitted at least a month in advance for full consideration.

For off campus activities where travel is involved, all applicants must adhere to the guidelines set by the University.
