Karyn joined the Effron Center for the Study of America (formerly American studies) in 2021 after serving first as management consultant and department manager of Princeton's Humanities Council. Karyn came to Princeton University with 25 years business administration experience at Dow Jones/The Wall Street Journal, 3M Company, and Four Seasons Hotel, where she served in positions of increasing responsibility in Global Finance Operations, Global Customer Experience, Global Customer Service, and several Marketing teams. In 2005, Karyn co-founded a retail business, Red Green Blue, a local-favorite creative space dedicated to individual expression. While at 3M, Karyn received a design patent for a new technical product and was recognized with a Marketing Leadership Award and a Golden Step Award. She earned an M.B.A. from Carnegie Mellon University and a majored in hospitality management at the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
